Mr. A. Karamitsos has been in the stamp trade for more than thirty five (35) years and is a famous name in philately.
For all these years we have been at the forefront of the captivating hobby that is philately, supplying the collectors world wide with the philatelic products and services they need. We have held hundreds of successful public auctions and been privileged to handle many famous collections.
Our auctions feature the stamps and postal history of Greece and Greek area, countries of the Balkan peninsula, Turkey, Cyprus, Levant, thematic (Sports & Olympic Games, transportation, aviation, etc.), foreign countries and, also, Picture Postcards, coins and Banknotes.
Our recent specialized auctions included Olympics, Large Hermes Heads, Overprints in Large and Small Hermes Heads, Samos island, Mt. Athos, Cancellations of Type V of New Territories, Cancellations Type I-VI, Ionian Islands, former Yugoslavia, and many more.
We are major buyers of fine specialised and single country collections as well as large, general collections, accumulations and dealers' stocks and we welcome offers of individual, rare items in good condition, including old letters bearing early stamps and pre-stamp mail, rare and scarce airmail covers and are always looking to add to our stocks of these items.
We pay very attractive cash prices and we have a large clientele for all the above.
Alternatively, material can be sold on consignment by our auction describing service. Our team of specialists are available to give advice regarding the best method of sale to suit individual client's needs and to achieve the maximum realisation. Please remember that it is in our interests to obtain the highest realisation possible for the sale of your collection whether it is sold by Private Treaty or Public Auction. We know that our expertise, backed by our will ensure you get the best results. All material is carefully examined, lotted and described by our team of describers. A receipt or acknowledgement is given or sent to you as soon as the material is received. Starting Prices are agreed before the lots are placed on sale between you and the auction describer. Final Settlement notification is sent up to thirty five days after the last lot has closed. Payment can be made directly to your bank account or by a foreign currency draft if required.
