The author, born in Amsterdam in 1667, Dutch jurisconsult and archaeologist, divided his time between jurisprudence, letters and the study of antiquity.

Contemporary full calfskin, triple fillet on the covers, highly decorated five-ribbed spine, title label, coloured edges. Covers visibly bumped and rubbed, foxing throuought, but clean and tight inside. Nice copy.
