In this rare work Aldenhoven utilizes his experience from his extensive travels in Greece, by checking the reliability of information derived from various sources. He also includes views of some unusual subjects: Sicyon, Zarex, Ira, Stobizi etc. while the folding road map of Peloponnesus represents one of the first significant topographical efforts during the reign of the Bavarian King Otto.
