Annie Brassey and her husband travelled the world for many years in their private yacht “Sunbeam”. “Sunbeam” is depicted on the foreground of the Illustrated cover’s design. The account “covers a cruise to Constantinople, via the Ionian Islands, Greece and the Archipelago and return to England, in 1874; and to Cyprus via Spain and Italy, Constantinople, Adrianople, the Archipelago, Malta, and return, in 1878” (Weber).
