manufacture 1917. With original ribbon and pin metal bar. Height of medal: 32mm. Diameter: 28mm. The badge was instituted in 1907 and issued until 1950 when the Service merged with Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps and the badge became obsolete. This example was doubtless issued for service during World War I. The badge is not often found.
2) A homemade badge with holes at each side, souvenir from the Salonika Front of WWI, engraved on the reverse of a silver two drachma Greek coin, with inscription: “A. C. LIVINGSTON, QAIMNSR. Salonique 1918”.
Two excellent pieces of war memorabilia, ideally framed for exhibition.
