A most unusual and rare aluminum shield fashioned from a piece of wreckage of the Great War German Zeppelin LZ55/85 which shot down over SALONIKA HARBOUR in Greece by the guns of the British Warship H.M.S. AGAMEMNON on 5th May 1916. Recovered from the Vardar (Axios) Marshes it was partly reconstructed and put on display at the White Tower, Salonika, before being shipped back to England.
