Officially issued and separately printed Ottoman map of Greece and the Balkans, printed in old Turkish script, dated 1318 (c.1902), scale 1:2000000. Impressive size: 88x54cm. Includes the Ottoman lands in Europe, from the Adriatic coasts of Croatia to the NW, to Lesvos island of the North Aegean to the SE, including an inset map of Crete and an inset map of the Bosphorus. The map presents the Ottoman administration system of vilayats, offering statistical information on three separate table panels. This rare chromolithographic map is printed in 16 paper patches attached on linen. Ottoman stamps on lower left edge. Framed, in superb condition.
