Lot 09546

Vintage WWI Kodak Vest Pocket Folding Camera, U.S. Patents Mar 4 1902 – May 6 1913, manufactured by EASTMAN KODAK CO. ROCHESTER NY in USA and dated 1910-1913. Format: 8, 1 ⅝” x 2 ½” exposures on A127 roll-film. With original leather case and handle. Considered the first camera with foldable bellows. During World War I, it was marketed as a suitable camera for soldiers because of its small size and portability, that’s why it is often referred to as “The camera of soldiers”. Untested, but seems to be in order. Cosmetically rather good, though the stick tape placed on the reverse missing, along with the glass from the front lens. Overall general marks commensurate with age and use to both camera and case.
