The British plane Comet IV-B of B.E.A. coming from London for a flight to Tel Aviv, via Rome, Athens & Istanbul, on its way to Nicosia, crashed & exploded on the ground a few minutes after the take-off from the runway at Ankara, due to a snow storm & very strong winds.
