Beautiful binding by Francois Bozerian le jeune: Straight grain full Morocco, signed on lower part of the spine “REL. PAR BOZERIAN JEUNE”. Spine with raised bands, divided in six panels, 5 entirely finished with exceptionally tooled in gold pointillé & floral designs. Gilt paneled covers, all edges gilt and gilt turn-in decorations around the edges.
Light foxing and just occasional spotting. Handwritten owners note on free end-paper dated “1805”. Private ex-libris cachet on rear free end-paper.
