The travel impressions of Sainte-Maure are written in the form of 25 letters, where he vividly describes Corfu, Mykonos, Chios, Rhodes, Smyrna and then Egypt and Palestine.
Full contemporary calf. Covers paneled with triple fillets in gilt, spine with fleuron decorations in gilt, red edges. Old auction’s description label on rear pastedown, ex-libris label “Βιβλιοθήκη Σπ. Λοβέρδου” in gilt on front pastedown. External rubbing, scratches over the rear board, interior in very fine condition.
