1813 entire letter from Parga to Corfou bearing fiscal mark "PER VALORE D1". Parga, the small port of the coastline, was connected to the capital of Corfu with boats carrying goods and passengers. No trace of post office at Parga is known. The captain was responsible for transportation and distribution for a fee.In these letters we do not find any postage stamps. Only a few times an order number appears, probably a master reference number.
