Loewenberg Julius, "Türkei u. Griechenland", [1846]. A rare lithographic map (17x14cm) framing the New Greek State within the Ottoman lands in Europe from a German or childrens atlas of 1846. The map is surrounded by a wide border featuring vignettes illustrating the peoples of Greece (right part) and Turkey (left part) while in the middle are depicted arms implying the conflict between the two nations. Drawn by Anst. V A. Boeden of Berlin. Loewenberg was a German Jewish printer, geographer, and author active in Berlin during the middle part of the 19th century.
