He had visited all remote areas and compiled a kind of Encyclopedia for Pontus and Armenia .This is a scientific study, fine detailed travel accounts have been coupled with sophisticated historical analysis .First volume covers the actual Armenia, second volume covers the eastern Anatolia ,which was still heavily populated by Armenians and Greeks .The account covers in details all the traditional Pontus area mostly still populated by Greeks .Published just few years before the massive extermination of Armenians and Greeks from the Ottoman empire, this study is still the basic reference for Armenia and the Armenians .Not in Blackmer or Atabey .Very Rare.
