The current copy is the first numbered “I” of the set of 20 printed on Japanese paper. In book’s colophon is stated that this edition should include 2 suites (china & Japanese paper) – missing here – and does not refer to the signed by the artists plates. In current copy almost all the plates (24 of 26) except the one by Daragnès and the one by Berque are numbered and signed by the artists in pencil on the lower margin. No other copy tracked in public libraries, auctions or collections with signed plates. Original binding: marbled boards and cloth spine, in original case. Light wear along case & boards edges, interior in excellent condition.
