ORTELIUS A., “GRAECIA UNIVERSAE”, Antwerp, 1598-1612. One of the most representative and influential examples of the chorography of Greece. Based on the mid 16th century Castaldi’s map (acknowledged in title), the current map of Ortelius established a geographical outline of Greece, creating a model adopted by many later cartographers.
