Extremely Rare, important & influential nautical chart of Cyprus and the coasts of Egypt. Many later and also rare charts such as the ones prepared by Goos (1662), Levanto (1664), Doncker (1664) & Coronelli (1696) are based (and in some cases are almost identical) on this map prepared in the mid 17th century by A. Jacobsz. Following Blaeu and Colom, Anthonie Jacobsz was the most important compiler of sea charts in Amsterdam in the first half of the seventeenth century. Editions in many forms appeared until 1715 and they were copied or reprinted by Pieter Goos, Hendrick Doncker and Jan Jansson.
