Text in Greek with parallel translation in Latin. Engraved vignette on title page printed in red and black, fine engraved initials and chapter ornaments. Fine contemporary full morocco, with covers & spines richly decorated in gilt, gilt medaillon to covers center “Praemium Groninganum”, red edges. Only light external wear to extremities and joints, just occasional and light spotting inside.

Overall a very fine set of all the eleven Aristophanes’ surviving comedies.
