Rare edition. A monograph of the prominent Italian scholar and archaeologist Giovanni Batista Zannoni about an impressive ancient Greek vase belonging to the Florence nobble Tommaso Corsini in Florence. The vase is depicting the mythical king of Thrace Lycurgus fighting Dionysuss followers, the Maenads & Satyrs and their leader Thiasos. Contemporary calf spine, thick paper marbled boards. Spotting inside, paper covering the joint of the folding plate at the end.
