New retouched edition of this highly esteemed translation of Quinte-Curce, by the grammarian Nicolas Beauzée (1717-1789). Latin text with French opposite. Full rooted calf of the time, in fine condition: smooth spine adorned with gilded fleurons and parts of title of garnet morocco and volume number of green morocco, slightly bumped corners, some small snags on the boards, some browning; childrens drawings in pencil on a guard and a contreplat, spatial browning inside, red page edges, clean and sound. Complete and Very Good copy.
