A collection of excerpts and short works by various authors including Augier Busbecq, Soranzo, Montalbano, Orazio Malaguzzi and others. Its covering the historical and military state of the Ottoman Empire and includes much information about Constantinople at the time. A second, enlarged edition, appeared in 1634 with a complimentary on Algeria. 

Full vellum, somewhat rubbed, mainly back cover; gilt title in spine. Full engraved title page, rather soiled & slightly worn, headpiece and chapter initials; spatial toning to pages, otherwise copy in overall Good condition. Rare.
