Lot 00031

This is the meshed background variety on thin paper (c.5.5) of the deep blue that was used in Patras. It is NOT Patras deep dark blue, but it is still a very rare variety. The stamp is intact and it is signed and certified both by Holcombe and Sismondo. The quadrillage in this stamp is quite apparent, more so than in the prussian blue. An impressive and rare variety.
