A lengthy Latin note describes the 1707 Santorini volcanic eruption that emerged the islet of Nea Kameni. Imposing title cartouche featuring a figure of Neptune, Hermes and an Ottoman woman and the arms of Crete with the half moon instead of the crown on the top of it. Nice impression and original color.
