MONASTIR (Bitola) 1916-1917. A very rare collection of 24 glass stereoscopic (positive) photographs (???x???cm), presenting unpublished photographs of Monastir during the WWI. The photographs depict the panoramas of the city, city’s buildings and exceptional views of the everyday life, also included 5 photographs depicting the destructions caused by the bombardment during the Battle of Monastir (12/3 – 26/5/1917) when more than half of the town had been destroyed by the 20,700 shells dropped by the French.
