GREECE: Silvered bronze restrike (2004) of the original medal that was awarded to winners during the 1st Modern Olympic Games in Athens in 1896. Zeus is holding the Goddess of Victory with a vertical inscription “ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑ” on the left on obverse. View of Acropolis with the inscription “ΔΙΕΘΝΕΙΣ ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΙ ΑΓΩΝΕΣ” around the perimeter on top and “ΕΝ ΑΘΗΝΑΙΣ / 1896” at bottom on reverse. Inscription “IEEE 2004” on rim. Diameter: 50mm.
