The third, revised and enlarged edition of a book about all Roman emperors, including those from the Byzantine Empire and the Holy Roman Empire. The author starts with Gaius Julius Caesar and ends with the Austrian Emperor Charles VI. Illustrated throughout with coinage of the reigns (with portrait of the emperor) at each chapter. The book also contains a detailed bibliography, index and unpaginated errata (“Addenda, Delenda, & Emendanda”). Two pages with the publishers list of other books is included. Text in Latin.
Leather binding with gilt ornaments and title on spine; cover rather worn along edges, leather and gilt ornament slighlty rubbed; pages only slightly yellowed, with rare tiny smudges or tanning, clean and tight overall. Good copy.
