Sir Robert Windham Graves (1858-1934) was a British career diplomat spent more than 50 years in the “Orient”. This valuable work includes his personal experiences as a consul of the events that led to WWI. Starting from the end of 19th century, he attests first hand information along the Serbo-Bulgarian War, the Eastern Roumelia revolution, the Armenia & the Armenian massacres, Crete from 1899-1903, Macedonia during the Macedonian Struggle, Constantinople & Albania.
