PTOLEMAEUS C., MERCATOR G “EUR. X TAB.” “Europae Tabula Decima”, Leyden, Elzevir & Hondius, 1618.

The finest and most skillfully engraved editions of Ptolemy’s Geography, first published in 1578.  Following the great success and influence of the map, it was included thereafter in 4 editions up to 1695, while the printing blocks were used in later editions up to the mid 18th century.
