Double-page (48x58cm) exceptionally highly decorative map of the North part of Aegean, presenting the islands of Lesbos, Lemnos, Skyros, Chios, Thasos, Imbros, Samothraki, Tenedos, Skiros and the Sporades including also part of Euboea, Mont Athos, Thrace and the coastal regions of Asia Minor. Decorative ships within the sea and elaborate title cartouche depicting a female islander and a turban-wearer man, three putti and domestic animals. “Elephant” paper watermark. No text on verso. Paper strip along the whole middle-fold, the half lower part, and three additional spots, all on verso, enhancing middle-fold and covering tears. Vertical creasing.
