Large 4to (28x22cm) with 96 lithograph plates and 2 maps. Contemporary binding, half green leather & marbled boards. spine richly decorated in gild, slight edge wear. Mainly light spotting but overall a good copy. A fine printing, with high quality lithographs of large size by T. Allom, accurately portraying Constantinople and its surroundings, giving a magnificent picture of its multinational character.
