A scarce, beautifully illustrated work, demonstrating national dress of a variety of locations. With depictions of Naples, Albania, Switzerland, Poland, Spain, Arabia, Portugal, Turkey, Greece, Africa, Persia and France. COMPLETE, with all 13  full-page steel engraved plates by Holl, Finden, Lewis, Artlett, Wagstaff, Egleton and Woolnoth, after paintings by a variety of well known artists. Publisher’s original cloth binding (full green morocco), impressively decorated in blind & gilt. Slightly rubbed edges, fresh embossed decoration on both boards. All page edges gilt, yellow waxed end papers. Foxing, occasional light scattered spots. Very Good copy.
