Highly illustrated, with frontispiece and 46 B/W images in text. An American journalist, Paul Fortier Jones (1893-1940) answered a call in June 1915 to help with relief work in Serbia, and joining a team led by Miss Sybil Eden found himself in Bosnia. This book is author’s autobiography of his adventures, a first-hand account. Publisher’s decorated cloth, illustrated in black and orange. Spine faded, covers visibly rubbed; cracked hinges inside, clean and tight pages though, fresh images. Ex libris sticker. Nice copy overall.
