How can I sell?

You can dispose of your items through our Auction House

    Your items are incorporated into specialised catalogues that are promoted so that they are shown to the largest possible relevant collector audience. In this way we seek to ensure the maximum possible sale price that reflects the true value of each item.

    We are looking for suitable buyers from our customer network where we propose the immediate sale of your object

How can I participate in an auction?

You can participate in our auctions in the following ways:

  • By being physically present in the auction room (except for “Live Internet Auctions”).
  • In real time (LIVE) via our digital platform.
  • By submitting written offers before the day of the event via the form you will find on our site or by sending an email to karamitsos[@]karamitsos[.]gr
  • By telephone during the auction.In case you wish to participate in our auctions by telephone, please inform us in time and at least 7 days before the auction date. Telephone entries are only valid for items with a total starting price of 3000 euros or more.

How can I collect the items I have purchased/ordered?

  • Pick up the items from our offices in Thessaloniki or from our branch in Athens, free of charge.
  • Shipping of the items to your address with shipping costs.
  • SHIPPING WITHIN GREECE: courier company (ELTA COURIER) or Greek Post Office (as registered mail) with the possibility of cash on delivery in both cases.
  • EUROPEAN UNION COUNTRIES : FEDEX, TNT, DHL or Greek postal services (registered mail).
  • COUNTRIES OUTSIDE EUROPE : FEDEX courier company. In this case your items will have to go through the customs control procedure. Customs fees are at the expense of the recipient.

How can I find out the results of an auction?

The results of the auctions are available on our website on the first working day after the auction. If you participate in the auction, you will receive an email informing you of the results of the lots you have bid on, free of shipping costs. We will inform you of the final amount including shipping costs within 5 days after the auction has ended.

Can I see the items I am interested in up close?

You can view the items of each auction at predetermined intervals before the auction listed in each of our catalogues. The viewing of the items can be done either at our offices in Thessaloniki by appointment, or at our offices in Athens (7, Kolonaki, Pindarou Street, Kolonaki).

 

When will the items I won in the auction be ready for shipping?

We will inform you of the final amount of your purchases (including shipping costs) within 5 days after the auction ends. Items will be shipped immediately upon receipt of your payment.

How can I give coins/ banknotes for certification?

You can deliver your coins – banknotes, so that they can be sent for certification to the partner company (NGC/ PMG) in one of our offices in Athens & Thessaloniki. Upon delivery of the coins – banknotes you will receive a receipt agreement until your items are returned by the certification company and which you will need to present for collection. You can also send us, upon request, your items to our store in Thessaloniki.

 

 

How can I participate in the Live Auction?

You will need to create an account on our website, once we activate your account you will be able to participate in our live auctions. Detailed information in https://karamitsos.com/how-to-bid/

 

Until when can I place a bid?

We accept written bids up to 3 hours before the auction starts. We do not commit to accepting and retaining written bids beyond this time limit.

What is the final amount I will have to pay?

The final amount that the buyer is required to pay corresponds to the price of the auctioned items, plus the auctioneer’s commission (18%) and the 24% VAT that is charged only on the commission. For example, for a lottery ticket with an auction price of EUR 100, the buyer will be asked to pay EUR 122,32 (100 euro auction price, 18 euro auctioneer’s commission, 4,32 euro VAT on the commission). In addition, if the buyer does not wish to pick up the items from our offices in Thessaloniki and Athens, he/she will also be charged the shipping costs.

How can I pay you?

You can pay us

  • by bank deposit to the company’s account.
  • by cash
  • via paypal
  • by debit or credit card
  • cash on delivery via ELTA or courier company (only for shipments within Greece)

How can I collect the items I have won?

You can collect the winning lots or have them sent to your address.
The lots can be collected either from our offices in Thessaloniki or from our branch in Athens, without incurring any shipping costs.

FOR SHIPMENTS WITHIN GREECE:

The dispatch of the items to your place is done through the partner courier company (SPEEDEX) or through the Greek Post Office as registered mail. Cash on delivery is supported in both cases.

COUNTRIES OF THE EUROPEAN UNION:

The shipment of the items to your place is done through one of our partner courier companies (FEDEX, TNT, DHL) or through the Greek Post Office as registered mail.

COUNTRIES OUTSIDE EUROPE:

In countries outside Europe your items are shipped by FEDEX and your items will have to go through the customs control process. Customs costs are borne by the recipient.

 

 

 

Is there a limit to the amount I can give in my offer?

The limit on the amount you can bid for each auction is 5.000€.
Please contact us if you wish to increase this limit.

Until when are the unsold tickets of an auction available for purchase?

You can purchase lots that have not been sold in an auction, at their starting price, until about a month after the date of the auction.

If I put some items up for auction, when will they be auctioned?

The items you provide us with are examined, priced, described and incorporated into the next relevant auction prepared by our House. All of the above stages are carried out in consultation with you and always in our mutual interest to achieve the best possible sale price for the items you entrust to us.

What is the House commission if an item is sold to me?

The commission that our House will receive from you as the seller varies from 10%-20% depending on the quantity, value and nature of the items you provide us with. A 24% VAT is added to the commission amount alone.

What is the final amount I will receive?

The final amount you will receive if an item is sold to you, corresponds to the price at which it was sold, minus our commission and 24% VAT, which is charged only on the commission.

What happens if my item is not sold?

After the auction, any unsold items are either returned to you (approximately 45-50 days after the auction) or re-incorporated into a future auction, always with your communication and consent.

How will I be paid from the sale of my items?

Payment is made exclusively by bank transfer to your account. The prerequisite is that you are a beneficiary or joint beneficiary of this account.
