Cantelli da Vignola, “La Bulgaria e la Romania e parte di Macedonia…”, Rossi, Roma, 1689 (BUT: Calcographia Camerale, Roma 1743). Copper engraved map (56X41cm) of Macedonia and Thraceup to Danube drawn by Cantelli in the 1680s. The map bears in its right margin the typical pierce stamp of Calcografia Camerale, Roma (active 1738-1870). Although the name of Rossi is still on the plate, this map comes from the very rare re-edition of 1743 (only 300 copies printed), made by the Calcografia Camerale in Roma and represents its first map production project. A second pierce contemporary stamp, at left margin, with the coat of arms of the Papal State (still the coat of arms of Vatican). Two light marginal folds, otherwise fine. A very rare edition with a fine provenance.
