The Swissair plane took off from Zurich and crashed when landing at Athens on 7.10.1979. It was flying to Beijing. Not able to stop in time, it ran off the runaway and fell into a ditch, 2km. further and caught fire. In spite of the quick assistance 14 passengers lost their lives due to smoke or fire.
