In Smyrna, a pro-Turkish French newspaper “Spectateur Oriental” reports on the 5th of May about Chios events and massacres. The MASSACRES OF CHIOS continue, already a month after the capture of the island. These actions were originated by the massacres of Muslims by the Samiotes during their expedition.
