Folio, 35x23cm, pp.4. News from Greece: Kapoudan Pasha arrived in Negroponte. He provided poor quality bread and olives to the local Turks but helped them to plunder the fields of the Greeks. He after moved towards Patras and Missolonghi and has confiscated some ships around Missolonghi. He found only 6 Greeks and executed them. After this, he ordered the landing of some Turkish troops near Lepanto. These troops were completely destroyed short after by the Greeks. Kapoudan Pasha moved to Korinthos gulf to supply this castle with troops. He was expecting the support of Albanian troops from the north, but their landing had the same result like the previous one, leading to a destructive defeat by the Greeks, after 4 failing attempts. The gulf of Korinthos was full of Turkish bodies for more than 1 month and the Greek authorities in Missolonghi have forbidden fishing. In the meanwhile the Albanians request advance payment in order to offer their services to the Turkish army. Completely isolated, the Kapoudan Pasha sails back to Dardanelles with his fleet and crew decimated. Few worming.
