Edition of the Froissart’s Chronicles, including historical reports of the 14th century European events mainly focusing on the Hundred Years’ War. Coloured edges, full calf contemp. binding with gilt roulettes and gilt stamp (the society of writers to the Signet) on both the covers. Heavy rubbing and wear of the spine of the first volume, with most parts missing. Inside occasional spotting, otherwise fine. Handwritten ex-libris on the first blank leaf. Rare.
