The 6th volume dedicated to Constantinople and the European parts of Ottoman Empire. Complete with all 31 copper plates including views from the Constantinople, Adrianople, the Balkans, Crete (Chania – ΧΑΝΙΑ), Yiannena (Ιωάννινα).

Friederich Johann Konrad was a German writer, officer and adventurer, that edited and produced under the title “Die Wundermappe…” extensive historical and geographic compilations aiming to meet and increase the interest of the Europeans and especially the young people. The work was completed in 13 volumes from 1834-1839.

Including two title pages bearing the publication dates of 1833 & 1837. The current volume focuses on Constantinople and the Ottoman dominions in Europe, printed after the successful Greek War of Independence and while several rebellions against the Ottoman Empire occur in the Balkans.
