Cover franked with a provisional 1d (plate 174) of Great Britain for the inland rate, ovpt “CYPRUS”. The letter postmarked Nicosia on October 24, 1880 was destined for Larnaca. The stamp is further cancelled with Nicosia barred numeral cancellation “696” and bears on the reverse an arrival postmark of the same date. Certificate BPA (2007).
