Entire letter written “εν Οδησσό την 30 Ιουλί 1851” (Odecca, Russia) to Syros. Transit postmark “ΚΩΝΣΤΑΝΤΙΝΟΥΠΟΛΙΣ ΤΟΥΡΚΙΑ*4.ΑΥΓΟΥΣ.1851” and oval “ΔΠ”, arr. “ΣΥΡΟΣ*?.ΑΥΓ…”. Postage paid “60” (lepta) on reverse, while “10” (soldi) to pay the Austrian Lloyd. From Odecca to Constantinopolis letter carried privately, where handed to Greek consulate and from there forwarded to Syros.
