FIRST EDITION, in one volume. 8vo, pp.xxiii, 593. Complete with a coloured aquatint frontispiece. John Carne was a British traveller and author that visited Constantinople, Greece, the Levant, Egypt, and Palestine, including the monastery of St. Catherine in Sinai in 1821.

Full contemporary calf. Gilt fillets on front cover, spine ornamented in gilt. Missing the rear cover, front cover partly cracked, external rubbing.
