First edition in French. 8vo, pp. iv, 563. Complete with frontispiece portrait of the author, and 90 engravings of which 61 full-page. External rubbing and wear along corners. Light signs of marginal water-stain until pp.90, spotting. Contemporary half-red leather, spine with raised bands, ornamented in gilt.
