FIRST and only edition limited to 350 copies.

The COMPLETE SET in two (2) Volumes. Large 4to, pp. xxvi, 486, [2] + xx, 191, 52 plates of which 15 folding.

8 color plates in first volume and 191 pages with 731photographic illustrations of the archaeological site and artifacts, plus 52 plates of which 15 folding in second volume.

Carl William Blegen was American archaeologist, Director and prominent member of the American School of Classical Studies in Athens. The Mycenaean site of Prosymna (also known as the Argive Heraion / Heraeum) was excavated in 1925 (9 March to 11 May) and 1927 (17 April to 31 May) by Carl W. Blegen while he served as Assistant Director and Acting Director (respectively) of the American School of Classical Studies in Athens. The majority of the archaeological records was published in the current limited edition (source: American School of Classical Studies at Athens).

Original blue cloth with blind-stamped decoration (Mycenaean design) on both front boards. Labels, cachets and withdrawn cachets of the Library of the American Museum of Natural History.

In Almost excellent condition. Very Rare.
