ΟΜΗΡΟΣ / HOMER, Jean Henri Lederlin (ed.), Stephan Bergler (ed.), “Homeri opera quae extant omnia. Graece et Latine”, Amsterdam, Ex officina Wetsteniana, 1707. Two (2) Volumes. 12mo, pp. [2], 12, 619, [8] & 23, [1], 569, [7]. COMPLETE including two fine frontispieces and a folding map by Abraham Ortelius entitled “Ulyssis Errores” of the Eastern Mediterranean depicting the Odysseus travels. The first volume includes Homer’s Iliad while in the second are gathered the Odyssey & the Homeric Hymns. Text in parallel Greek & Latin. Contemporary full vellum with blind-stamped decorations on covers, handwritten title on spine one with modern ink. Contemporary manuscript notes to first blanc sheet of vol.1 dated “1712”. Very fine condition. Brunet III 273.
