This set of sets is truly remarkable! Not only it does contain the double set of the presentation patterns of 1954 which is immensely rare even as single (a single set was hammered for 16,000 CHF in the El-Greco sale, while Karamitsos only handled a single double-set in their long carrier), but it also contains a set that has never appeared in the bibliography of Greek numismatics: The official double set of the aluminum coins that were struck in Bern, in Switzerland. Although they are lacking the word ANAMNHΣTIKON, this is probably to be expected for coins that do not bear the King's image. The purpose of the ANAMNHΣTIKON series was -after all- to be offered to high-rank officials and the King himself. The appearance of the Bern aluminum set together with the Paris copper-nickel set in the same private Swiss collection makes it clear that they were both official products issued to be offered to a highest rank official of the Swiss mint.
