It is consisted of 11 linen backed map sheets (54x48cm each), 2 smaller – annex maps (30x48cm each), 1 statistical chart of the Greek settlements and their population (54x48cm), and 1 lithogr. index of the map sheets (27x31cm). All map sheets housed in original drak blue cloth case with title in Greek “Χάρτης της Ελλάδος”. The current map is considered the first official state map of Greece, representing its expanding territories after the annexation of Thessaly. The map is conducted under the assistance of the Austrian military cartographic agency (the famous k.u.k.) and it is a derived map based on the older topographic expeditions, on in-situ land surveys carried out by Greece headed by the senior military engineer Iphicrates Kokidis (Ιφικράτης Κοκίδης) & on extended land surveys conducted by the international delimitation commission appointed to draw the new borders of Greece according to the decisions of the Treaty of Berlin.
