First and only edition of a scarce Atlas. 4to (25x20cm), engraved title page (double-page) and list of maps, 13 copper engraved maps, all from 26x24cm to 34x24cm, printed on heavy paper. One map soiled. Contemporary leather over boards, slightly rubbed. Scarce Atlas of Antique Geography, published in Germany by the small publishing house of Schneider-Weigel. Although based in D’Anville, the current atlas has several different maps, all from new plates. Interestingly, a map of modern Italy dated 1799 has been included. A classical set of ancient geography maps in a very rare particular edition.
