Keller, Depot General de la Marine, "Carte de la partie Septentrionale de l’Archipel”, Paris 1854 / Corrige en 1863. Large (92x64cm) lithographed chart of the Northern Aegean and the Marmara Sea made by the French navy. Additionally two more inset charts of Bosphorus-Constantinople and the Dardanelles (each 22x12cm). One of the earliest examples of scientific chartering of the Northern Aegean and Marmara sea, a generation of charts destined for the first steamers also. A chart, heavily used at sea. Light wear, a tear at the left entering chart area (fully restored), some small tears in the margins. Overall very good condition for a heavily used chart in sea. Only two copies known in international institutions. Very Rare.
