An Unusual Letter Opener made from a bullet & a piece of the Great War German Zeppelin LZ.85, shot down over SALONIKA HARBOUR in Greece by the guns of the British Warship H.M.S. AGAMEMNON on 5th May 1916. Beautifully fashioned, it is markedon one side: "LZ 85". Approx. 22cm. in length, retains a great patina. Framed, together with photos showing the Zeppelin & flag wrecked in swamps at the Vardar (Axios) mouth. Ready to hang. Scarce & excellent.
